This fishing game isn't just eye candy like so many others. It features real-life lakes, lures, rods, reels, and boats. The graphics and sound are really gorgeous and detailed, pulling you into the game. You can choose between underwater and overwater view, unlike most games (a MUST-HAVE feature for anyone looking for a simulation experience). The lakes are large - you'll be exploring for awhile. Lots of species of fish. One of the coolest aspects of the game is the fishing controller - a rod/reel combo that plugs into the USB port of your Xbox 360 or PC. The controller actually pulls at varying degrees of strength depending on the fish you catch. It is the most realistic, engaging gameplay I've experienced to date - and I've played almost every fishing game imaginable.
If you love fishing and are looking for a solid game, get this!
Complaint about the fishing controller: Although the fishing controller works with BOTH the Xbox 360 and Windows (PC), it is only sold with the Xbox 360 version. So you're stuck paying a rather high amount of money for a bundled package instead of being able to just buy the controller separately. The thing is very noisy, too. I've given up on using it because although the motor feedback is awesome, the noise is just unbearable.
