User Rating: 9.8 | Banjo to Kazooie no Daibouken N64
Ok don't be fooled by the kiddy looks of this game, because it's one of the best platformers of all time. It might not have guns like Jak 2 or Ratchet and Clank, but it makes up for that with funny British dialogue, extreme creativity and fun gameplay. The music still gets stuck in my head 6 years after I beat it! This game is like Super Mario 64's demented brother. While Mario is very structured, Banjo-Kazooie just throws you into the game world and expects you to find stuff on your own, which leads to more exploration and collecting than Mario. It also has more of an upbeat tone than Mario 64, with brighter colors, happy music, and bathroom humor. Yes, crude humor in a rated E game. Really funny, though. The difficulty ranges from really easy to throw-your-controller-at-the-TV hard. If you're really good at platformers, this might have a normal difficulty. For an N64 game, the graphics pack a punch with a colorful, fluid style that easily make it one of the best looking N64 games. My only gripe with this game is that it's old, and the age is apparent. Overall it's a very fun game, and If you still have an N64, and don't have this game, pick it up today and enjoy this buried treasure. If you like platformers, you will like this game.
