It was my first N64 game, and it's still one of the best.

Banjo-Kazooie was the first game that I bought for the Nintendo 64, and it's a true gem of a game. The difficulty of it is laughable, as you can beat it completely in 4 hours once you know what you're doing, but the game is so fun that you won't care. It is similar to Super Mario 64, but they are not the same game by any means. The game's graphics are very well done, and compliment the silly feel of the game very well. They are nothing special compared to the Xbox or PS2, but you certainly won't be dissapointed either. The camera is also done fairly well, so there aren't many weird angles, and when there is one you can switch to a first person view to have a look around. All of the game's worlds are very well designed, each with its own theme and each with a lot of stuff to do. Actually, there is so much to do in each of these worlds that when you first step foot into them it can be a little daunting, as you will have no idea where to start. But the gameplay never becomes frustrating, because you never really have to search for items, you just have to explore thoroughly, and the items will come to you. All in all, there are no problems with Banjo-Kazooie, and if you have a Nintendo 64, you really, really ought to buy this game. I have about 20 games for the 64 now, and although I don't play them often anymore, sometimes I just get an itch to pull everything out and play Banjo-Kazooie. It's just that good.
