Some games from the N64 and PS1 era don't hold up well today like they did when they first came out, but Banjo-Kazooie is a rare exception. Even now the game still manages to be a true joy to play, and personally this is one of my cherished childhood memory's. Okay, the gameplay is still very good and the controls (though a bit dated) still hold up well. Now if you have never played Banjo-Kazooie then you should, because it is one of the finest games that the N64 has to offer, and as for the N64, well it just might be the best entertainment system ever made.Back to topic, overall if you missed out on the ending of the golden age of videogames, and would like to stock up on some games that really defined the era, then this is a good game to start with, and it's got pretty much all of the Nintendo standards intact (great gameplay, rich atmosphere and lovable characters). Overall this is one to be cherished... and there's nothing quit like an old school classic.
