A Lot Better Than Gamespot Rates It!

A Breath of fresh air in a stale world of EA Sports owned games. These guys put together a top notch debut game. I could have bought it preowned cheaper but wanted to support the developers so bought it new.

Since EA took over exclusive rights to the NFL football games have disappeared off the market so games like this and Blitz get my money and EA gets nothing. These guys are at least trying to make a new game.

I like the passing game in this product. Apparently the Gamspot staff thinks you should be able to stand in the pocket for 10 seconds on every play like you do in Madden but that's not realistic at all. This is real folks, you start by focusing on the primary receiver then progress through your receivers with a flick or button press. You only have so much time so make it quick. You can also lead your receivers during the pass so I don't know if the Gamespot staff even read the manual.

Running game can be tough to get yards without some practice but that's okay.

Yes, Tackle alley is a blast, play it.

Yes, animations are fantastic in this game, you have to see it to believe it and then you will never look at Madden (or any other game) the same again.

Obviously this is not NFL football, that is locked up and unavailable but this is pretty cool. Play an 8 team tournament, win and move on to a 16 team, win and move on to the 32 team tournament. Apparently it's based on a European type of sports competition.

You won't have contracts, free agents, food concession pricing, Superstar modes but really if you just want to play a tough, hard hitting football game this might just fit perfectly.

I suggest rent it first, especially if you are a Madden fanboy.
