Awsome. Refreshing. Addictive. And just straight up cool.

I've always been curious about the B-Boy'ing scene. And yes, i'll be the first to admit that in my younger teenage years i mimicked some of thoes bad ass dance moves in the hope i too would one day drop it like its hot in the club...

B-Boy certainly does capture the culture quite well, thoes who disgust every bling waring, booty shaking specimen concerned with Hip-Hop may also have a reason to give the game a chance, because it touches upon a side of Hip-Hop im sure many post '90's generations would'nt be too familiar with. The occasional 'dope' and 'wack' are thrown in there, but of course even the most self harming emo can now with stand thoes Oxford Dictionary contenders.

The graphics are amazing. The bright colourful characters and backgrounds merge perfectly with the game and the PSP's screen does'nt disappoint. The animations are smooth and each pirroet, twirl and arm fling are very life like - a few more plays and even i could pull of these moves.

At first, the game can seem rather daunting, id guess especially more so to thoes who no close to nothing about B-Boy'ing. Its much more than a dance dance revolution and the need to react to the beat and varying moves adds a whole new depth that ive never seen before to the game (don't worry for thoes with not even an ounce of rythem, you can remove that down to just following the white markers on the floor that indicate where the beat is at - which works great might i add)

The dance mechanics work great, and my first battle i choked and forgot my moves, the second, i remembered a few and fell victim to repeating the same one again and again. But its all there, the variations and combos are immense all adding to a great gameplay.

I would also like to say the music is NOT the "Mtv Hip-Hop" you hate or love. It's got the samples and the drums but theres cutts and change in pace that would get with dance music, it varys to more hyped and chilled music, and the selection seems great, some of which im going to look up and see if i can add to my collection.

I think the game perfectly suits the PSP and you can pick it up and play away. The learning curve is quite steap id say and after putting it down can take some coming back to, remembering what moves you have available to you and what button combination you set them too. Also the create your player didnt seem to have as much options as id have liked, especially considering the individually wacky B-Boy'ing fashion sense that comes along with the show.
