A fum Racing game!!!! (^.^)

Auto Modellista is the first racing game that is powered by cel shaded graphics. Sega did a good job to polish up this game with the tracks, cars, rain, and wind effects. But what really hurts this game from becoming a classic is its lack of level. In Auto Modellista, there are around 9 tracks. Perhaps like 4 of them are reversed versions of the previous tracks. The rain effect also gets in the way of the really spiffy wind traces as you move your car. The soundtrack isn't helping either and can get a bit annoying. It's also a pretty easy game as well. It's like impossible to not get to first place. The AI isn't really all that smart and the track designs are really simplistic.
As a racing genre fan, this game could have been a lot better if they just added harder tracks, more tracks, better soundtrack, and more cool weather effects like fog and snow.
If you're really interested in buying this game, I'm not stopping you. It sure didn't stop me from buying it. But the PS2 holds better racing games like Toca 3, Gran Turismo 3 &4, NFS series, Championship Rally and more.
So you're better off buying those. But Auto Modellista can have its moments sometimes.
