Charming, but is it really racing?

I admit to one thing, I am a car/racing nut. The majority of my games are racing games so I either am a great resource for reviews, or am too biased to the type of game. At first I was hesitant on auto modellista because at first look it reminded me of ridge racer or the Rush games, just too arcade like. I will confess I like the sim style more and especially lean to games with some depth as far as car customization. So, I saw this game in the bargain bin for 3 bux and figured it was worth a peek at this price. I will tell you, it has become a guilty pleasure. The racing physics and handling are a bit off, but I dont think the developers were aiming for a realistic feel. For how cheap the game is used it is definately worth adding to your racing collection. Still, my favorites remain as Forza, Need for Speed series and Gran torismo. It is hard to put this game down as a sim or as an arcade racer because it really blurs the lines, but in a good way. I also am liking the editor for making your own stickers/logos. I will never fully embrace this game but it has some very unique style and is charming enough to get it a high rating from me and if you are a true gasoline in your blood type guy you will more than likely enjoy this game. Another thing this game does that most dont is how it isnt about racing to earn money. There are things you unlock as you race but from the very start you get to pick from a very wide selection or cars and can mod it right from the get go. This is a game most wont ever play but for those that do it is memorable and worth some of any gamers playing time.
