Pure,raw, mindless, and addicting.

The Atari 2600 has been regarded as one of the most influential and successful gaming consoles in history. Despite going through many slippery slopes and obstacles, it did present itself with alot of really good games that helped to truely redefine the way video games played out today. "Asteroids" is one of those games. Your basic goal was to move around in a spaceship and fight off endless rounds of asteroids and alien saucers. Ever since it began its launch in the arcades back in 1979, it has become an influentual and addicting hit and it still remains as Atari's best selling game of all time. And once you actually get down to playing this ground-breaking title, you can see why.

PROS:
-Revolutionary graphics for its time
-Controls well
-Neat sound effects
-Simple and addicting

CONS:
-None

Even though there really isn't far too much to say about this game, all you really need to know is that it is a really simple, yet really addicting game here.
