Full disclosure; I couldn't finish this game. I played for around 20 hours before I threw in the towel and decided that I didn't want to play it anymore. The game is absolutely enormous, but the sidequests are so repetitive and boring, and the actual war battles are boring and monotonous, and I just began to feel like playing this game was like homework.
Pros:
-Graphics are stunning and the historical aspect of the game is really interesting
-Voice acting is solid, especially my girl Kassandra, who I really liked as a character.
-The ship battles are fun and sailing around starting fights with other ships is a lot of fun
-Some of the quests are a lot of fun and they don't all involve the same pattern of going and collecting 5 berries and returning them (Although some of the missions definitely DO have that loop)
Cons:
-The same music...over and over and over again...that map music was going to be death of me
-The world is literally just too big. There are too many enemies and camps and sidequests that have no impact on anything and just feel like buffer
-The bounty hunters are obnoxious and like to show up at the most inopportune moments
-Leveling up is pointless because the enemies just level up with you, but your armor and weapons don't level up with you so you end up sucking unless you are constantly upgrading your stuff.
-I got tired after only a few sections in the map of doing the same 4 things: even clearing out entire fortresses gets old when you're just doing the same thing over and over again.
-The huge battles between the Spartans and Athens are boring and don't seem to even matter to the game.
