The game sees you play as Desmond Miles in the year 2012. By using a machine called the Animus 2.0, Desmond relives the past where he plays as Ezio Auditore da Firenze.
During the game you complete tasks set by other people to assassinate a number of important people.
The game sees your roam and explore Italy and the cities of Venice and Florence. A number of side missions are available throughout the game. To see all secondary mission locations the player must climb viewpoints (tall buildings) to see over the area.
To complete the game the player must complete all fourteen sequences of missions (although there are only 12 seqences, the others are being released as DLC).
Secondary missions may include racing thieves, discovering assassins tombs, delivering letters and many more.
Assassin's Tombs are located throughout the cities. To discover the tombs the player may need to complete certain tasks or quests.
Your friend Leonardo da Vinci helps you complete theses tasks and gives you extra weapons by finding and giving him codex pages found thorughout the game.
The game features many weapons that the player can use many weapons to kill or attack people or guards.
Assassin's Creed 2 is an excellent and fun game to play for variety of gameplay and missions. The game has great graphics and audio effects and is worth buying, especially if you enjoyed the first game in the series.
