Wanna grab that ledge? Too bad.

It's funny how a game with such a large following can actually be barley passable. This game has an immense amount of potential that is, in most cases, wasted. You can tell that allot of love went into the historical accuracy, and the detailed environments, but that's where the loving care ends. The game starts off promising enough, and works most of the time. But I found myself constantly battling with the parkour mechanic. It hardly ever went where I wanted it to, and when it did, it wasn't exactly satisfying. Also the story makes no sense, and the way it is presented is utter toss. You are plunged into the character Desmond without knowing who he is, or how he really got to where he is. But in all honesty, you most likely wont give a damn. Then when you are placed in the animus, taking control of the amazing Altair, the most powerful Assassin of all time, you realize he's a boring, contrived character that has nothing interesting to say, ever. Also his voice actor is awful, which is unbalanced since almost every other voice actor is really quite good. These are a few of the problems, and there is still a myriad of them. But for the sake of being nit picky, lets just say the game missed it's mark, and it wasn't until Assassin's creed II to redeem the series.
