Zombie Joins the Zombies

American McGee, level-master at id Software, updated his plan file today by mentioning that the master recording for the Quake II theme song had just arrived at id headquarters. The artist? None other than Rob Zombie, gutteral crooner for the metal-industrial band White Zombie.

Mr. Zombie's music will only be used as a theme anthem, the rest of the game's soundtrack is being crafted by artists Sonic Mayhem.

McGee mentioned at the end of the statement many requests to release the theme have been filed to id, but that it was unlikely that anything will be heard until the scheduled release date.
