Nintendo's Zelda-themed Switch Joy-Cons are stunning, but they're still extremely hard to find in stock.

To celebrate the release of The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword HD, Nintendo released a new pair of blue Switch Joy-Cons on Friday, July 16. For months, Zelda fans have been frantically trying to secure preorders for these Zelda Joy-Cons, which sold out almost as soon as they were announced. And though we saw restocks on release day as predicted, they continued to sell out throughout the day and into the weekend. However, getting your hands on the new Zelda Joy-Cons isn't impossible; we've seen them come back into stock frequently, and Best Buy had them available as of our last update. You can check current availability below to find the Zelda Switch Joy-Cons in stock--if you see them available, we don't suggest waiting to buy them as they sell out fast. Good luck!

The Zelda Joy-Cons are a deep royal blue, adorned with Zelda-style symbols placed delicately around the buttons and analog sticks. The left Joy-Con features the eagle and Triforce seen on the Hylian Shield, while the right features the Triforce design seen on the Master Sword. The Joy-Cons are two slightly different shades of blue, with the right Joy-Con appearing slightly darker than the left one.

Players will be able to use these Joy-Cons in Skyward Sword with two different control methods. The first method will emulate how Skyward Sword was on the Wii, with motion controls for swinging the sword, aiming the bow, and almost every other action. Alternatively, players will be able to play in a buttons-only mode that maps sword slashes to the right analog stick.

Skyward Sword HD supports both motion controls and buttons-only mode.

Whether you're picking up the new Zelda Joy-Cons or sticking with your current pair, you can also secure your copy of the new Zelda port: Skyward Sword HD is available at Amazon with free delivery by tomorrow, or there's a nice deal at eBay that saves you $10 if you're willing to wait a few days.
