Zelda-Like Adventure Game Oceanhorn Coming to PS4 and Xbox One
It offers 15-plus hours of gameplay.
Oceanhorn, a Zelda-like game that is already available on PC and mobile devices, is coming to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One next month, it was announced today. The game will launch on those platforms on September 7.
As you can see in the trailer below for the console version, Oceanhorn contains obvious references to Nintendo's Legend of Zelda series, riffing on its art and gameplay mechanics.
Publisher FDG Entertainment says the game is a "carefully crafted love letter" to classic action adventure titles, containing influences from not only Zelda, but also Final Fantasy and Seiken Densetsu (known as Mana in the west).
Oceanhorn features music from Nobuo Uematsu, who is best known for his work on the Final Fantasy series. Seiken Densetsu composer Kenji Ito also contributed to the game's score.
It offers 15-plus hours of gameplay, according to FDG. Oceanhorn, the full name of which includes the subtitle Monster of Uncharted Seas, sells for $15 on PC. Pricing for the console version was not announced.
Oceanhorn was developed by Finnish studio Cornfox & Bros.
