Yuri's Revenge filming complete

Westwood wraps up filming on the cutscenes for the upcoming Command & Conquer expansion.

Westwood has announced that it has just completed filming for all of the cutscenes appearing in Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge, the official expansion to Red Alert 2, after a one-week session in Westwood's studio. Editing and postproduction of the cutscenes will continue through the end of July. "The filming for Yuri's Revenge was a little more challenging than what we've done for other games," said Producer Donny Miele. "We filmed over a full week, but it was rare for the main actors to be on the set at the same time. That's where the magic of postproduction comes in. We have to patch all the scenes together to make it look like the actors are talking to each other, when in reality, they may never have met."

Yuri's Revenge will add a number of new features to Red Aler 2, including an entirely new faction for Yuri's army--one that contains 13 new infantry units and six new structures. There are also four new Allied units and structures, as well as five new Soviet units and structures. In addition, Yuri's Revenge has 14 new single-player missions, 10 new cooperative missions, 20 skirmish maps, and new multiplayer modes.

Command & Conquer: Yuri's Revenge is scheduled for release at the end of October. For more information on the game, take a look at our previous coverage .
