Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour E3 2005 Preshow Report
Konami releases new information on its anime-inspired card-dueling game for the Nintendo DS.
Currently scheduled for release in September, Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour is a card-dueling game based on the existing Yu-Gi-Oh! collectible card game. The game will be played using the DS's touch screen, while the handheld's top screen will show 3D versions of the monsters from your cards battling it out. Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour will feature more than 1000 of the latest and most popular cards from the collectible card game, and it will ship with three exclusive trading cards.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour's most intriguing feature is what Konami is calling "game time." It's not yet clear exactly how game time will work, but Konami claims that certain in-game events will be affected by the time of day at which you're playing.
Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour is primarily designed as a wireless multiplayer game for two players who want to battle against each other or trade cards. But it will also feature a single-player game that lets you pit your deck against those belonging to CPU duelists. Interestingly, you'll be able to befriend in-game characters and trigger special event in the process, although no further details on this feature have been released at this time.
We'll bring you more information on Yu-Gi-Oh! Nightmare Troubadour as soon as it becomes available.
