You'll Soon See a Lot More of the Xbox One/PC Game Gigantic

No more NDA.

Curious about the Xbox One and PC cross-platform game Gigantic? You'll soon probably start seeing and hearing a lot more about it, directly from people in the beta. That's because developer Motiga today officially dropped the non-disclosure agreement that testers previously needed to adhere to.

If you're not in the closed beta yet, that may change. Motiga also said today that it's now adding new testers "by the tens of thousands," though it's not immediately clear the rate by which it allowed new players in before. You can apply for a spot in Gigantic's beta here.

Motiga also announced today that it has released a new version of Gigantic across Windows 10 and Xbox One. It introduces some "important new game features," a number of which you can see in GameSpot's ongoing livestream embedded above.

Before this, a January update for Gigantic's beta allowed people to play 24/7 instead of only during select testing periods. Additionally, the update introduced cross-platform play between Xbox One and PC, and it unlocked a new parties feature called The Crew.

Gigantic was supposed to launch in 2015, but was delayed to 2016 in part because of feedback that Motiga received from the game's closed testing periods. As part of this delay, Motiga cut 16 jobs at the Bellevue, Washington-based studio.

Gigantic pits two teams of five players against each other in a single map. Each team has a guardian, an enormous creature that can move around the map and possesses its own skillset. The goal is to destroy the enemy team's guardian. Killing enemy heroes powers up the killer's guardian and eventually prompts it to go on a rampage, wounding the enemy guardian and providing an opening for the team to deal some extra damage to it.
