A third season of Netflix's popular drama You is in production, and now a new cast member has joined. Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star Scott Michael Foster has signed on to play a major role.

According to Deadline, which first reported the news, Foster--who played Nathaniel Plimpton III on Crazy Ex--will play a recurring character for Season 3 alongside Penn Badgley and Victoria Pedretti.

Foster will play a character named Ryan, who is a local TV reporter and is not all he seems. "A well-liked single dad who has overcome a history of addiction, Ryan has secrets, including a controlling, calculating demeanor that he reserves for those closest to him and anyone who gets in his way," reads his character description.

You is a serial killer drama based on the Caroline Kepnes book series You and Hidden Bodies. The show goes to some truly wild and uncomfortable places, as Badley's Joe Goldberg tries to keep his murderous ways under wraps, while he just can't stop falling in love and getting himself mixed up in even more trouble.

Season 3 is currently in production under COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but there is no word yet on when the season will premiere.

Foster is just the latest new addition to the cast for Season 3, as Uncharted movie star Tati Gabrielle is also confirmed for the new season, alongside Ben Mehl (TheGood Wife), Mackenzie Astin (Homeland), and Dylan Arnold (Nashville).
