Rocket League has been built inside of Halo 5: Guardians.

Yes, the soccer-with-cars game is coming to Xbox One very soon, but if you want to play it on your console right this second, you can...kind of. Using Halo 5's Forge tools, someone created a custom map that lets you play Rocket League--and the results are quite impressive (via Kotaku). Check it out.

In Halo 5's version of Rocket League, you drive a Ghost and knock around a green soccer ball to try to score. There are even curved walls just like Rocket League. Additionally, using some kind of CTF modifier, Halo 5's Rocket League keeps track of goals. You can also get out of your vehicle and shoot at your enemies, but you run the risk of getting splattered.

One big difference, however, is that Halo 5's Rocket League supports up to 16 players. For that large-scale version, there are three balls in play on the field at once. There is also a smaller version for 2-6 players that uses just one ball at once as it works in the real Rocket League.

You have Xbox Live's "TurbTastic" to thank for this custom map. If you want to play it, you can search for that Gamertag in Halo 5 and look for the map, which is called "Rocket League." The YouTube video above was shot by Ducain23.

The Halo 5 community is a dedicated and creative group. Before this, someone else made a Star Wars podracing map, while another player built a gametype that involved climbing up a mountain during an avalanche. Halo 5's Forge tools were released in December as a free update. We expect this Rocket League map won't be the last piece of noteworthy community-made content.

In other Halo 5 news, 343 has announced that the fan-favorite Grifball mode will be available this month.

The real version of Rocket League from developer Psyonix launches on Xbox One next week.
