You Can Get The Matrix For Free Right Now--Here's How

If you link your Movies Anywhere account to select digital retailers, you'll get to pick one of five movies to add to your locker free of charge.

Movies Anywhere, the popular digital locker for movies owned by Disney, has a neat promotion running until September 9 that will net you a free movie simply by connecting your account to a digital retailer. The promotion lets you pick between five movies: Lego Movie 2: The Second Part, Smallfoot, Crazy Rich Asians, The Meg, or The Matrix.

To take advantage of this offer, you first need to have a Movies Anywhere account (free to create). Afterwards, you have to link it to one of the following digital retailers:

  • Apple
  • Prime Video
  • Vudu
  • Google Play/YouTube
  • Microsoft
  • FandangoNow
  • Xfinity
  • Verizon
  • DirectTV

Linking retailers to Movies Anywhere is an easy process. Simply head over to "Settings" and click "Manage Retailers." From there, select the retailer and log into your account to finish the setup.

You'll get a promotion code in your email from Movies Anywhere. You can redeem that code on the site or app and then pick one of the five movies to add to your digital locker free of charge.

Unfortunately, if you've already linked all of your accounts to Movie Anywhere, you won't be able to get a free movie. Those who happen to own all five movies can upgrade to the HD or 4K version (if you don't already have it).
