Yoshi Jumps Back

Nintendo of America confirmed that Yoshi's Story is coming to the US a little later than originally expected.

It appears that Yoshi's Story is the latest Nintendo 64 game to be delayed, but this time it's only by a few weeks. Instead of the original release date of February 9, a Nintendo spokesperson told GS News Friday that the game is now set for a February 23 release.

Yoshi's Story is the next first-party Nintendo release for the N64. Back in August, the company announced that the game would appear on American shelves on February 9, 1998. As the game's original Japanese release date (scheduled around the time of Space World) approached, Nintendo announced that the Japanese version wouldn't hit until December 21.

With a little over two weeks to go until the Japanese version is released, this setback is a little bit of bad news, but it's not a major delay.
