The long-rumored Yakuza Remastered Collection, which brings together Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4, and Yakuza 5 in one package, has finally started rolling out. A listing on the PlayStation Store accidentally outed the compilation just hours before Sega formally announced it. The first game of the collection, Yakuza 3, is launching today.

Sega director of production Sam Mullen confirmed the news on Twitter. and it's now available on the PlayStation Store. The localization has been repolished and the games include all of their content. Digital releases will come as they're ready, followed by a packaged version once all of the games have been completed. After Yakuza 3, Yakuza 4 will follow on October 29, and Yakuza 5 sometime next February.

The three Yakuza games were remastered separately in Japan, but fans in the west have hoped for a compilation that brings them all together. Yakuza Kiwami and Kiwami 2 are remakes of the first two games, while Yakuza 0 serves as a stage-setting prequel. Yakuza 6 is the most recent and concludes the main story of the protagonist, Kazuma Kiryu.

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio may not be done with the world of Yakuza, though. The recent game Judgment takes place in the same fictionalized setting, and Sega has teased another seemingly Yakuza-related announcement for August 29.
