XS Games announced that it has entered into an agreement with Take-Two Interactive for the North American release of Pure Pinball. XS will publish and Take-Two will distribute the 3D pinball game, which is scheduled for release in early August and will be available exclusively for the Xbox.

Pure Pinball includes 30-plus missions and challenges across its four different tables. The particular goals and challenges correspond to each table's theme. For example, on the World War table, players have to destroy certain targets, while on the Western-themed Runaway Train table, players will need to direct their balls to obtain water and fuel to keep the train running. The remaining space- and race car-themed tables are called Hyperspace and Excessive Speed, respectively.

The game boasts a number of different camera views, including a "ball-cam," and a physics engine that create realistic ball movement and collision detection. Players with Xbox Live accounts will be able to post their high scores on a worldwide leader board.

The game is being developed by Sweden-based Iridon Interactive, and it will hit stores with a price of $20.
