Looking to pick up some new games this summer? Microsoft's annual Ultimate Game Sale might have what you're looking for. The sale, announced last week, kicked off today, July 5, and runs until July 11. There are more than 250 deals available, offering savings of up to 60 percent off. On top of that, Xbox Live Gold members can save up to 10 percent more.

The sale features Xbox One and Xbox 360 deals alongside offers on Windows 10 PC games and Xbox One consoles--you can now get the system for $280.

Among the games included are newer releases like Doom ($42), Quantum Break ($45), Mirror's Edge Catalyst ($36), Dark Souls III ($45), and The Division ($40). As for older titles, Fallout 4 is discounted to $30, while Watch Dogs is marked down to $12.

Xbox 360 games featured in the sale include Red Dead Redemption ($7.50), WWE 2K16 ($20), Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor ($5), Far Cry 4 ($20), and BioShock Infinite ($10).

This is just a very small sampling of all the offers. Major Nelson's blog has a full listing of all the deals, including information about which Xbox 360 games in the sale are playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

People so salty these days. Dozens of games on sale, many AAA games, great discounts and people still complain. I bought 2 and didnt buy more cause of too many games to play already.

@aj87: I think the people are salty because they may have expected better pricing on digital content. All the AAA games can be purchased through many retailers for $5-$10 less than these deals on disc. People need to stop complaining and either not spend money or go by physical copies at better prices. I'd expect a few of the indies will soon become Games With Gold as well in the near future. Was contemplating getting Unraveled but found out it'll be available in EA Access Vault this month which I paid $30 for the year. Glad I caught that, saved me $10.

@rdwolf260: I guess we will have to consider the different countries on everyone. Im from Brazil and the discounts are really good. Online shops with physical disc (which I prefer) may have almost the same price, but with deliver cost it doesn't worth anymore.

I think I will get Oxenfree. I heard really good things about it. I want to get an action title as well, but I don't know which one.

To me this shows how bad current gen titles really are. especially Mirrors Edge Catalyst, recently released, Evolve which is awful, you can get it for 8$ at Gamestop. Other titles also you can get for 16 bucks or less. Also most people got these games long ago. I mean Watchdogs for 15$, that most people hated. Wow. I couldn't find a single game that interested me. I already have the ones I like, Batman AK, Tomb Raider(s), Forza(s), The Division, Inside etc. And DOOM (the game shouldn't be on sale yet), it just came out in MAY, or April?!! Ryse Son Of Rome isn't terrible, decent deal. Gears UE is worth like 5$, Halo 5 about 15. Once all this is done some will shoot back up to 39.99 or full 59.99$. Not sure what all the desperation is for. I don't see many GREAT games in the future. Just more sequels and remasters. I found better deals on 360 to be honest. A console I'll never ditch!! I think this also shows how unsure MS is about XB1's future. Sony have some good deals, but they aren't selling THIS many games. Guess they don't have as much doubt. Oh well, play on!!

That any 360 game should be "on sale" for $20 is f'ing laughable. Middle-Earth: Shadow of Mordor for $5 would easily be the best deal on offer if the last gen versions hadn't been so vastly inferior. Meanwhile, Red Dead Redemption and South Park: Stick of Truth aren't $5? The original Assassin's Creed is $10?! Are they out of their damn minds?

Was looking forward to picking up Condemned, Shadows of the damned, and Vanquish for Xbox 360 but they are nowhere to be found. Just the same old shit they always have on sale. What a disappointment. Everything's overpriced as well compared to Playstation and Steam here in Canada.

Metro bundle for like $10? Yes. Probably will drop $100 over the course of this sale. I have 2.5TB of HDD space to fill up so why not.

When MS starts having sales like this comparable to Steam sales, then it might actually be worth it.

Was hoping for dishonored def edition and Banner saga 1.....but got RDR, tales of vesperia, and south park.

Its the very first time i didnt found anything worthwhile.

Either the choice of games is poor(they was already in a sale of some sort before) or the price unattractive(30-40% off is still 48€?).

The Division including the season pass for 40€...that would be a deal

For me,there is absolutely no deal in games sales.

They have the nerve to milk evolve for $13-$16 for the base game(which is pretty weak) with a regular price of $39.99 meanwhile having titanfall(with all dlc) for $5 last week. titanfall compared to evolve is way better. Evolve should be at most $5 with everything included.

Avatar image for bubba_666
Bubba_666

@WhoIsTheDrizzle: Evolve is awful. 8$ at your local gamestop, along with many others on sale in the XB Store. I'm beginning to despise my XB1. I play my 360 more often than anything. Good old games, was revisiting, Deathspank, Bulletstorm and the Pac Man Adventure games..haha. Also played Wheel Of Fortune for about 2 hours, with 2 people who were actually online. LOL Still fun.

Avatar image for deviltaz35

@7tizz: Plus it is free to play now isn't it ? At least on PC it is . There is going to be a round robin type of thing where you get select creatures to use during any given week. Plus you can use an in game currency still to be decided further down the track.

Avatar image for iammcgruber
IAmMcGruber

@WhoIsTheDrizzle: I've noticed that. It seems like they increased a lot of games back to there $60 prices tag, then marked them on sale. I could have sworn Just Cause 3 and Assassins Creed Syndicate have been lowered to at least $49. They should take the 50-60% off that...not raise the price back up to full retail then discount it.

Avatar image for TeknoBug

@iammcgruber: Best Buy in Canada does exactly this, I've seen prices on some things go up then they put it on sale back down to original price and then after the sale period it's at the raised prices. SALE is what a lot of people look for and creates demand.

I was realky hoping to see a discount on any of the resident evil remasters, but nothing yet, 20 bucks for that game still feels a bit expensive

Avatar image for renfield87

@captainwonton: Resident Evil 6 is on sale in the games with gold right now . I got it last night for 10 bucks. It says its $15 now though. I watched the price change on it about 4 times through out the night not sure whats going on with that .Resident Evil 0 is $13 as well. Been waiting for those to go on sale too!

Wow just checked it out, and this is why psn offers a better value. Most of these games offered Sony has also offered but with better discounts and even more off if your a PS+ subscriber plus I also get charged....NO TAX! Like doom, that was 35.99 on the Sony sale last week. Meh on this sale overall...I'll just wait till gears I guess for my next Xbox game.

Avatar image for TeknoBug

@newagegamersare: Yeah it's nice that iTunes, PSN and Steam among other digital services don't charge tax in Canada, yet XBL stuff does. Hell up until recently that buying a $20 Xbox card at a local store netted a $2.40 (BC)tax (gift cards shouldn't have tax).

@newagegamersare: Ya I get charged tax when I buy xb0ner games too. Not Sony though. Oh well. I'm cool with having both consoles and not being a robot blindly devoted to either corporation. ( like many kiddies are )

@wtf_666: Microsoft has a physical presence in may US States, so they have to collect tax. I supposed you could hold a company's size against them, I just felt the need to comment though.

@Attitude2000: I'm in Canada and get charged tax as well where as I don't on Steam or PS4. Not to mention the prices are higher for the same games on Xbox before tax.

Not on the list but available as one of the regular Deals With Gold is Batman: Arkham Knight standard and Premium edition, at $15 and $25. I picked up Premium because it's about the best deal they're currently offering.

@Lord_Sesshy: Batman is worth it. I've actually completed the main game before, but I want to run it again. All the DLC I didn't have before is worth the price alone.

@Reagan2791: Not really...Arkham Knight is beautiful but it has a weak story and the constant use of the Batmobile is horrible. everything requires that damn car
