The Xbox Series X is only scheduled to launch on November 12, and our Xbox Series X review is live now. It apparently wasn't just press that got the system early, as one lucky preorder customer has had their console delivered nearly a week before launch.

Posting about their latest delivery on Reddit, an Xbox Series X customer in Portugal was surprised to find the console delivered nearly a full week before the official release date. According to the post, the order was placed through the Microsoft Store and hadn't shown any indication of shipping early the day before it arrived. Given that stock is making its way to distribution centers and retailers ahead of launch, it's likely to have been an admin error.

Now Playing: Xbox Series X Unboxing

The post does confirm some information Microsoft has been sharing over the past few weeks. The poster noted that their HDD that was connected to an Xbox One X "just worked" when connected to the Series X. Quick Resume was also tested, with estimations of 2-4 second waits when switching from No Man's Sky to Red Dead Redemption 2. Many titles, such as Gears 5 and Forza Horizon 4, seem to have updates already in preparation for the Series X launch, both of which exceed 65GB.

The full post details delivery information and initial impressions of the console that help verify the information. It's unlikely that this will be the only slip up globally with regards to early console deliveries, especially with just a week left to wait for the launches of the Xbox Series X, Series S, and PlayStation 5.

In other Xbox Series S news, a report suggests that the less powerful next-gen console will only have 364GB of usable storage on its internal SSD. The PS5, by comparison, will reportedly feature 667GB, while the Xbox Series X has been confirmed to feature 802GB.
