Xbox Series S Toaster Looks Set To Deliver Next-Gen Snacks

It probably won't have a bread ring of death.

Since it launched its latest line of Xbox consoles in late 2020, Microsoft has offered fans some interesting merchandise based on its new hardware. According to new images that have leaked online, Microsoft might be preparing to release an Xbox Series S toaster, which adopts the signature design of its entry-level console to deliver next-gen toast.

Spotted by French site Xbox Squad (via VGC), the Series S Toaster will reportedly retail for around $60 and comes with three toasting modes and a cutting-edge removable crumb tray.

The appliance has a small circular vent that mirrors the design of the Series S console and it's claimed that it'll be followed by a new line of Xbox merchandise later this year, including branded boxes, ramen bowls, and more.

If the report turns out to be true, this will be the first big piece of Xbox-branded kitchenware since the launch of the Xbox Series X mini-fridge. While that $100 fridge has an exterior that looks just like the console it's based on--just bigger so as to accommodate several cans of questionable energy drinks--it's also annoyingly loud.

Outside of its attempts to have the best-selling gaming-themed appliances in your kitchen, Ampere Analysis' Piers Harding-Rolls estimated that 18.5 million Xbox Series X|S consoles had been sold by the end of 2022. Beyond the kitchen, a very green Xbox controller has leaked and will reportedly go on sale soon. Xbox fans can also look forward to the Xbox summer showcase this June as well as other announcements before then.
