Xbox, PS4, and PC game Evolve promises "evolution" of multiplayer
Left 4 Dead creator Turtle Rock Studios release first gameplay trailer for upcoming multiplatform game.

Turtle Rock Studios, creators of the original Left 4 Dead, today released the first gameplay trailer for the company's upcoming Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC shooter Evolve.
On top of that, we got a chance to play the 4v1 action game and you can read our in-depth coverage, courtesy of editor Mark Walton, right here.
The video you see below demonstrates the game's 4v1 setup and introduces "Goliath," the first monster announced so far for Evolve. Powered by CryEngine, the team-based game has four players competing as hunters against a fifth player, the monster. The hunters view the game from a first-person perspective, while the monster sees the world in third-person.
Turtle Rock boasts that Evolve represents the "evolution of multiplayer."
A second Evolve trailer features a cover version of Danzig's classic song "Mother," which fits rather nicely with the mood. Evolve launches this fall for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
Evolve's arrival at 2K comes after parent publisher Take-Two Interactive bought it from THQ for $10.8 million during the company's bankruptcy auction last year.
