Simon & Schuster Interactive and Hollywood Records have today announced that the debut video for the rock band Diffuser will star the characters Summer and Ice Trey from Outlaw Golf and Outlaw Volleyball on the Xbox. The track, "Get It On," is featured on the soundtrack for Outlaw Volleyball, and it's taken from the band's debut album, Making the Grade.

"The idea of putting these characters in our video came from our love of video games," said Peter Schojan, the bassist for Diffuser. "Between Anthony and me, we play a ton of games for the Xbox. When we heard about Outlaw Volleyball we had to get our favorite characters in our video. Summer is a total babe and from what I've heard a devoted Diffuser groupie."

"Game soundtracks are here," said Peter von Schlossberg, vice president of sales and marketing for Simon & Schuster Interactive. "All media is competing for the mindshare of the consumer. Movies only keep your attention for an hour and 50 minutes, however games potentially have you for 40 hours or more. This is the age of mixed media."

Outlaw Volleyball is currently scheduled for release on July 9. For more information, check out our previous coverage of the game.
