Quantum Break, the next game from the creators of Max Payne and Alan Wake, finally has a release date. The Xbox One exclusive will arrive on April 5 , Microsoft announced today during its Gamescom briefing.

The time-bending action game game was previously scheduled to launch in 2015, but was later shifted to 2016 to make way for other high-profile first-party games such as Halo 5: Guardians and Forza Motorsport 6.

Developer Remedy also shared an impressive new gameplay trailer for Quantum Break. Watch it below.

Quantum Break is not just a game alone, as it will be accompanied by a live-action TV show. This remains in development despite the closure of Xbox Entertainment Studios last year. The game is about the heroes and the TV show is about the villains. You can watch a new trailer for the TV show below.

Remedy has previously described Quantum Break as the "ultimate Remedy game."
