Microsoft's Spring Sale starts today, March 20, with a price cut on new Xbox One hardware.

As announced previously, all Xbox One systems are marked down $50 for the duration of the event, meaning you can get a new console for as low as $300. Microsoft has not said when the deal will expire, so if you're interested, you may want to act sooner rather than later.

If you already have an Xbox One and are looking for some new games, Best Buy and GameStop are offering Gears of War Ultimate Edition for just $10. Play the game before April 11 and you'll receive early access to the Gears of War 4 multiplayer beta.

Looking further out, starting March 22, Microsoft will roll out a wider Spring Sale for games, movies, and TV content through the Xbox Store.

Microsoft isn't disclosing the exact sales just yet, but titles such as Fallout 4, Halo 5: Guardians, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Far Cry Primal, and Rainbow Six Siege will all be discounted, in some cases by more than 60 percent. Backwards-compatible Xbox 360 games will also be marked down in the sale period.

In all, the Spring Sale will include more than 150 offers. Check back later this week for our roundup of the Spring Sale deals.
