Why am I not able to just buy one at Gamestop? I like to have a second set of cables for moving my Xbox from my theater room to the bedroom.

That way I don't have to dewire it from the entertainment center.

And don't tell me to stream it. Streaming blows. Delayed responses and shitty video. My Internet is fast too so I don't want to hear it.

At least it is now possible to buy a replacement power supply. Have these been dying lately? The original Xbox did have faulty power cables for which Microsoft did offer a free replacement.

You've always been able to get a warranty replacement. What was added was the ability to buy a spare/extra power supply.

As i recently found out becoming an xbo owner again. Nothing is covered under a warranty from ms or can be extended for an extra fee. Go ahead and try. Theyve set it up where youll be buying a new xbo outright if something goes wrong.

i take it america is 2 years behind europe then?? i bought one this way nearly two years ago. i had bought an xbox one on ebay without any accessories. i think it was some kind of replacement unit, it was still sealed and boxed but just in plain packaging. ebayers wanted £75+ but i registered on the xbox website and got one direct from microsoft. cost me £25. it actually shipped from germany. only took 3 days to get to the uk though.

What a rip off. How is it not covered with the warranty? And how is this an accessory? Isn't by definition an accessory something additional that isn't needed to function?

It's handy for making a convenient portable gaming station when you don't want to buy an add'l console. Just need the brick, a nice PC monitor w/speakers, and a Y-cable for the power to the wall; mount these to a sturdy service tray. The Xbone laying flat is a problem compared to the vertical 360 & PS though... May need to stack & space 2 service trays...

Though this should've been an option from the start, I give them kudos for quickly fixing the issue. They're really pushing for customer satisfaction these days compared to the launch.

My power supply for Xbox ONe was just buzzing this morning making quite a bit of noise. I'm afraid of the thing exploding in my face if I leave it on, so i just unplugged it.

Good, I like to chew on my chords laying around the house and sometimes I get a tad overzealous.

Probably my biggest complaint about my XB1 is that it requires the power brick. Only other complaint is the size of the XB1 itself. Really would like to see a XB1 Slim. I travel about half the year and if it were smaller would indeed make it easier for me.
