Now Playing: Forza Horizon 2 and For Honor Free With Xbox Games With Gold

Microsoft's Xbox Live Gold subscribers get free games each month, but they don't all become available at the same time. Some games go free at the start of the month, while others become available at the halfway point. It's now the 15th of August, which means it's your your last chance to grab two free Xbox games.

The free games in question are the Xbox 360 game Dead Space 3 and the Xbox One game Death Squared. As always, the Xbox 360 titles in the Games With Gold program are backwards compatible and playable on Xbox One. Time is running out to secure your copy of both games, so hurry and grab them if you haven't yet.

Dead Space 3 is a horror game about navigating through a hostile sci-fi setting while using weapons to saw limbs off the aliens who are stalking you. For the first time in the series, you can play all the way through Dead Space 3 with a co-op partner. Death Squared is also a co-op game. It's a colorful puzzle game that can be played alone or with up to four players.

Starting a bit early, you can now download Xbox One's online brawler For Honor until September 15 and the Xbox 360 game Disney Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two until August 31.

The game that's available the full month of August is the open-world racer Forza Horizon 2.
