Xbox One-Exclusive Sea of Thieves Gets Release Date

Rare's PvP Open World Piracy Game Is Out Spring 2018

Microsoft and Rare's multiplayer pirate exploration and combat game, Sea of Thieves finally has a release date. It will come out on March 20, 2018 for Windows 10 and Xbox One. This release date announcement trailer also showed a couple new features, namely ship customization and a large variety of pirate costumes.

You'll certainly need to distinguish yourself as you'll be part of a crew taking on other pirates. You take a hands-on approach in the basic aspects of ship navigation, from steering to opening sails to lifting anchor. When your ship springs leaks, it's up to you and your crew to plug the holes. And when you make landfall, you'll have to fight your way to the treasure, assuming you can read your treasure maps properly.
