Xbox One and Xbox 360 Free Games With Gold for September 2015 Revealed

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Crysis 3, and more will be free starting in September.

Microsoft has announced September's free Xbox One and Xbox 360 titles for Xbox Live Gold members.

There are two free games each for Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners, including The Deer God, Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition, Battlestations Pacific, and Crysis 3. Take a look at the full schedule below.

Even if you don't have an Xbox 360, it's probably still worth picking up the last-generation games, as they could one day be made playable on Xbox One through backwards compatibility.

Xbox One:

  • The Deer God (September 1-30)
  • Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition (September 16-October 15)

Xbox 360:

  • Battlestations Pacific (September 1-15)
  • Crysis 3 (September 16-30)

Microsoft announced in June that it would begin offering two games for both Xbox One and Xbox 360 each month as part of the Games With Gold program. Previously, Xbox One often received only a single new game.

In the meantime, it's not too late to still grab some of August's free games, including Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes, How to Survive: Storm Warning Edition, and Metro: Last Light.
