New Starter Kit offers Project Gotham Racing 2 with headset, 12-month subscription to online service.

A new version of the Xbox Live Starter Kit has hit stores, and it looks an awful lot like the old one, with one big exception: The fantasy aerial dogfighting of Crimson Skies is gone, and in its place is the demanding driving of Project Gotham Racing 2. The package still carries the headset communicator, a 12-month subscription card to the Xbox Live service, and a $69.99 price tag. But Microsoft is also throwing in its Xbox Live Arcade software. A new three-month starter kit will hit shelves later this month for $39.99, and will include the headset, a three-month subscription card, and demos of MechAssault 2 and OutRun 2.
