Xbox Cloud Gaming and Xbox Game Pass are coming to the Meta Quest Store, it was announced during the Meta Connect event. Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella appeared on stage to reveal the news.

With Xbox Cloud Gaming, subscribers can stream titles over the cloud, including the hundreds of games in the Game Pass Ultimate library. Once players connect an Xbox controller to their Meta Quest 2, they will have access to a "massive 2D screen," which Meta likened to the experience of "having a private movie theater available at all times." Here is what the experience will look like:

There is no word yet on when Xbox Cloud Gaming will come to Meta Quest 2. It's also unclear if Xbox Cloud Gaming will be compatible with the first edition of Meta Quest, or other VR headsets.

Also during the event, Meta announced the newest version of its VR headset, the Meta Quest Pro. The device arrives on October 25, priced at $1500.

For years now, Microsoft has been making Xbox games available outside of console and PC thanks to the cloud. Before this, Microsoft began allowing users to stream games over the cloud to their mobile device and to some Samsung TVs. Looking further out, Microsoft is developing a streaming device, codenamed Keystone, and a prototype of this was recently spotted sitting on Phil Spencer's shelf.

This is all part of Microsoft's plan to reach 3 billion gamers and extend Xbox to more places. In other news, the amount of money that Xbox Game Pass brings in has been revealed, and it's billions.
