Microsoft commissioned a popular artist to create custom Xbox controllers for Microsoft staff themed around Xbox Game Pass. Product marketing manager Tao Sila posted an image on Twitter of the custom Xbox controller featuring a unique design and the words Xbox Game Pass. It looks pretty slick.

POPeArt, known for their very excellent mock-ups and real products, created the controller for Microsoft. According to Sila, Microsoft commissioned the controllers for staff to celebrate the success of Xbox Game Pass. A custom Xbox and controller themed around Cuphead can be seen in the background of the photo as well.

Unfortunately for everyone else, this controller is not being sold commercially. That said, anyone can create their own custom Xbox controller using the Design Lab.

As for Game Pass, the subscription program continues to grow, with Microsoft announcing this week in its earnings report that Game Pass growth helped lift the Xbox business overall.

Game Pass, which had 18 million subscribers as of January 2021, is set to grow even bigger in the coming months, with Forza Horizon 5 and Halo Infinite launching into the program.
