Creative Assembly's Total War: Warhammer III will launch day one through Game Pass for PC, the studio has announced. All Game Pass subscribers can pick up the game at no extra cost when it's released on February 17, 2022, as part of an extremely busy month for new releases.

The biggest Total War game to date, Warhammer III promises "more factions, a larger map, more mechanics, a deeper storyline, major systems reworks, and brand-new battle types..." The game has six factions, nine "legendary lords," and is described as being highly replayable, just like previous entries in the series.

In a post on the Xbox website, Creative Assembly said players can look forward to "extra surprises" to be announced for the game before launch. And after release, there will be "plenty" of add-ons and free updates, the studio said.

Outside of Game Pass for PC, Total War: Warhammer III will be available to buy for $60. Now is a good time to sign up for Game Pass on PC, as Microsoft is offering three months for $1.

Some of the other high-profile games releasing in February 2022 include Elden Ring, Dying Light 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Destiny 2: The Witch Queen, and Saints Row.
