Microsoft's Xbox team, for the first time, recently conducted a end-to-end walkthrough of its E3 2016 briefing. Xbox boss Phil Spencer said on Twitter that he's encouraged by what he saw, but stressed that there is "more work to do."

His tweet came in reply to a message from Gears of War 4 producer Rod Fergusson, who said he recently showed Spencer and Xbox marketing boss Aaron Greenberg some new footage of the Xbox One game. Here are the tweets (via DualShockers):

Microsoft's Xbox E3 2016 briefing is scheduled for Monday, June 13, starting at 9:30 AM PST. "We'll showcase more games and experiences coming later in 2016 and beyond," Microsoft said in a statement about its show.

That's as specific as the company has gotten regarding its E3 2016 plans. However, it was recently reported that Microsoft may announce a new Xbox device during its E3 briefing. Additionally, Spencer has said Microsoft would talk about things "beyond" Xbox One and Windows 10 in the weeks and months to come, possibly signalling an announcement during E3.
