Egosoft has announced that X2: The Khaak Threat, which was originally scheduled for release this year, has entered the final stages of beta testing and should be available sometime around March 2003. The game is nearly complete, but features such as cutscenes, voice recordings, music, language translation, and graphical tweaks are still being worked on. Egosoft is also taking the time to address any issues raised by players during beta testing.

X2: The Khaak Threat is the spacefaring sequel to X: Beyond the Frontier , which was released in 1999. The game features elements of exploration, trading, and combat. For more information, check out our X: Beyond the Frontier of the game.
