In an effort to add a few new features, Bethesda will push back the game's release to mid-August.
Bethesda Softworks has told GS News that its X-Car: Experimental Racing will be pushed back to a mid-August release date. John Lee of Bethesda told GS that it decided to do so for a number of reasons: Feedback from focus groups over the last couple of weeks suggested some new features that Bethesda decided should go into the game. One such request was for more European tracks. With half of their sales coming from Europe, Bethesda will oblige by adding additional tracks set around the continent.
Bethesda says another reason for the push back is the lull in sales during the months of June and July.
"We know that this is our first attempt at a racing sim, and we will be held under close scrutiny....We have high expectations to beat, and we aim to please," Lee told GS News today. "This game will not launch until we feel it is done just right."
