WWE Wrestlemania 34 Results: Alexa Bliss Vs. Nia Jax Highlights

The WWE Raw women's title was contested at Wrestlemania 34 with champion Alexa Bliss taking on challenger Nia Jax in 1-on-1 competition. Jax and Bliss's relationship has been an on-again off-again affair for a few months. Bliss believed that she could manipulate Jax to do her bidding. Jax, meanwhile, seemed to regard Bliss with a small degree of skepticism and has rarely fallen for her bait. The two women have come to blows a few times, most notably when Jax slammed Bliss with an electric chair drop after Bliss won the Raw women's title last year. But for the most part, they've had an uneasy truce.

But this March, their relationship took a nasty, never-turning-back turn, when Alexa Bliss was caught on a live mic backstabbing her friend and making fun of her intelligence, her looks, and her weight. Bliss, after being caught, has since doubled down on those remarks, setting the stage for an emotional showdown with a strong anti-bullying message. We believed that Nia Jax will win the title and give this feud a happy ending, and sure enough, that's how things played out. Here's a recap of how their match unfolded.

• Alexa Bliss comes to the ring wearing a weird cross between a warrior princess outfit and a ballerina costume. She's borrowing the elevator lift that Shawn Michaels used at Wrestlemania 25
• Nia Jax walks to the ring in a sparkly gold outfit. She is really selling the hurt emotions. She looks like she's been angry crying for an hour backstage.
• Jax gets in the ring and immediately takes out Mickie James, which removes the outside interference from the equation.
• Jax is just ragdolling Bliss all over the ring. She can't keep this up; Bliss is bound to get the upper hand soon.
• And there it is. It's a real credit to Bliss that she's the smallest woman on the roster, and yet, she still manages to make her offense look believable. She always uses her opponent's momentum against her. She uses the ring as a weapon and smashes her opponent's face into the turnbuckle. And she targets limbs to cut her opponents down to size.
• The crowd is losing a little steam here. But the two women are putting on a decent show--one that would be at home on any average PPV.
• Bliss took some hard bumps in this match. That was a nasty Alabama Slam, followed by an Avalanche Samoan Drop.
• Jax wins and breaks down in tears. Congratulations to the new Raw Women's champion. She's had a lot of false starts, but finally, she's at the top of the mountain.
