WWE Royal Rumble 2022 Matches, Card, How To Watch, Start Time, And Predictions

Find out all the matches for the upcoming WWE PPV.

Tomorrow is WWE's first major PPV of the year, the Royal Rumble. On Saturday, January 29, the road to Wrestlemania begins with two huge battle royal matches where the winner of each one will get a championship match at Mania. Who will come out on top? Could we see Big E and Bianca Belair as number one contenders or one of the 29 other wrestlers? For everything you need to know about Royal Rumble, from start times, matches, and even predictions, we have you covered.

Because the NFL's AFC and NFC championship games are on Sunday, the Royal Rumble is taking place on Saturday, and The Dome at America's Center in St. Louis, Missouri will host it. There will be a full audience in attendance--as last year's event had a virtual audience thanks to The Thunderdome. If you can't make it in person to this year's event, you can still watch from the comfort of your own home on Peacock or PPV. Check out the various start times around the globe below.

Start time:

  • 5 PM PT
  • 7 PM CT
  • 8 PM ET
  • 1 AM GMT (January 30)
  • 12 PM AEDT (January 30)

The start times above are for the main card. There will also be a Kickoff Show on Peacock, Twitter, and YouTube one hour prior to the PPV--or Premium Live Event (PLE). Typically, there is one match on the preshow, and that has not been announced yet.

And yes, this is another WWE event on a Saturday. If you're confused as to why this is happening on Saturday, it's probably because the AFC and NFC Championship games are on Sunday, and WWE doesn't want to compete with a couple of the biggest NFL games of the year.

How to watch:

If you want to watch the main card for WWE's Royal Rumble, you can purchase the PLE through your cable or satellite provider or watch it on Peacock. While Peacock has a free tier, you will not be able to watch the WWE event through that. you'll need a Premium ($5 a month, with ads) or Premium Plus Peacock ($10 a month, no ads) account. Regardless of which tier you choose, there will be a few WWE-related ads throughout the show.

There are multiple ways to watch Peacock. Aside from watching it on mobile devices and on the PC, Amazon Fire devices, Android TV, Apple TV, LG Smart TVs, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Roku, Samsung Smart TVs, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, Xfinity, and more.

As of this writing, there are six matches on the card, with two of them being Royal Rumble matches, which usually last about an hour for each one. Three of the matches

Match card:

  • Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Bobby Lashley (WWE Championship)
  • Roman Reigns (c) vs. Seth "Freakin" Rollins (Universal Championship)
  • Edge & Beth Phoenix vs. The Miz & Maryse
  • Becky Lynch (c) vs. Doudrop (Raw Women's Championship)
  • 30-Man Royal Rumble Match
  • 30-Woman Royal Rumble Match
