Wreckless on the PlayStation 2

One of the top-selling Xbox games is on its way to the PlayStation 2.

Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions

Activision has announced that Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions is currently in development for the PlayStation 2. In this free-roaming racer, players will be able to select from one of two storylines--one follows a member of an elite task force trying to take down the Mafia, while the other focuses on a government agent with similar goals. There will be 20 missions in the game, as well as 20 secondary missions that will allow players to unlock cheats. Players can select from 25 vehicles, which they can use to drive around the city and complete their mission.

"The insanely reckless, pulse-pounding fun that made Wreckless: The Yakuza Missions a success on the Xbox will take mission-based driving to new heights on the PlayStation 2," said Larry Goldberg, executive vice president, worldwide studios, for Activision. "The game delivers an over-the-top action experience by allowing players to weave through traffic, bust through barriers, crash into parked cars, break through plate glass windows, and even race up an escalator in a local mall."

Wreckless is scheduled for release on the PlayStation 2 in the fall.
