The latest World of Warcraft charity campaign has concluded, with players raising more than $1.9 million to help with Ebola relief in Africa.

The donation came by way of sales of the Argi in-game pet, which was available for $10 up until December 31. Blizzard Entertainment donated 100 percent of proceeds to the Red Cross to support their relief efforts.

"The community embraced this cute little intergalactic nibbler, helping out a great cause in the process," Blizzard said. "Thanks again to everyone who helped make a difference."

This is not the first time World of Warcraft players have raised money for charity. Previous in-game pet sales campaigns have benefited the Make-A-Wish Foundation, an organization Blizzard has donated millions to over the years.

The latest expansion for World of Warcraft was Warlords of Draenor, which launched in November 2014. By Blizzard's latest count, World of Warcraft had 10 million subscribers.
