WOW guild banned

why do we care again and how is the news for the general audience and not just wow addicts? I know its trash friday but still, this is pathetic.

This is something that doesn't happen all the time(or ever that I know of) and its about one of the most played online games out there. It is news to me considering this is a "gaming" website.

Its called Warp hacking. "Knock Down Walls" They just bypassed them by warping through them. Anyway they got what they all deserved.

I still don't understand cheating in a game like WOW. In a game like, say, Grand Theft Auto, you can mess around with tanks or unlimited weapons. Tony Hawk, perfect rail balance is a fun idea for a cheat. But in WoW, to me (a current player who has never been above level 20), the point of the game is to have fun constantly upgrading and finding harder challenges. If you remove the difficulty of the challenge, then doesn't that also remove the fun too? Seriously, I'd like to hear if those guys who did this were actually enjoying the experience, because isn't that the bottom line? Yeah, cheating is wrong, and the punishment fits the crime, but WHY would they want to cheat in WOW in the first place?! Personally, it sounds like they were playing for the wrong reasons--------maybe being permanently banned will help them realize that.

well, lets see, game's too hard for most people to enjoy the new high level content. Thus, somebody cheats, to enjoy the game more fully, and get better equipment. Sounds like a reasonable move to be honest. Its why I quit, couldn't get much done past ZG. If Blizzard wants to prevent issues like this, they need to make some of the raid dungeons more forgiving. Go Overrated!

Players that are willing to cheat (in multiplayer games) are obviously not the type of people we need in gaming and should be banned immedietly and permanently. Their needs to be some sort of punishment for cheating and having to re-level to 60 after dishing out some cash for a new key sounds good to me. It is just too bad that Blizzard couldn't ban the use of these guys bank accounts on the system so they couldn't join up again.

Good. I like to cheat in my single player games, but online, never. No matter the severity, if you hack your way to success, you deserve the ban.

I know a kid from it at school.... he was pissed off lol, lost lvl 60's... not my problem though ^_^, cheaters deserve it!

Actually, it was 90% of the guild, not all of it.

This is so UBER noobyfied. If you have to cheat in a game you are not legitable to play the game. I'm not a supporter of WoW. I HATE the game. (Just beacause everybody plays it I guess, never played it myself). But Blizzard is doing a great job keeping this game up and running.

Guild got what they deserved. That's one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard. As an avid WoW player, if you have an entire guild do that, word is going to get out. Surprised it lasted this long. GG Overrated.

Ive run into a few of these guys in Battlegrounds, and I swear they were unkillable, as in I could crit the hell out of them and not have any effect on them, they'd stay at full health. And by the way, why not go through the whole instance of AQ40, its not like the bosses up to C'thun drop greens or blues all the time, they drop friggin epics for crying out loud. Glad to see Blizz do this, the less Overrated's in WoW the better.

I feel sorry for the guy who just joined the guild and hasen't been on his character for about a week.

This game is going to kill my friends and im serious this game is addictive and my friend was playing 20 hours a day one of my friends is a big lad and doesn't get regular exercise he might have a heart attack soon? I hate this game it seems to be dieing down abit for him so maybe hell get out side and we can play sports again

WoW is a game and gamespot is a website about games. so i guess they have every right to post news about WoW.

It's not like it made the news on CNN. It's a gaming website, and whole guild bannings in MMOs are pretty big.

I like the fact that WoW doesn't pull punches, as it prevents others from exploiting problems in the game. I find it odd that they banned the entire guild though... *shrugs* I don't play, so I shouldn't even be commenting.
