WOW guild banned

Not to start an argument, but whoohoo, 6 million subscribers. Sony (and I'm not a big Sony fan by the way) has sold 100 million PS2's. What does one have to do with the other? Nothing, I just wanted to throw around big numbers too. But at least the guys admit that they deserve it.

cheaters always win till they get caught. Blizzard has a lot of house cleaning to do before they are done fixing the "i'm a lazy gamer" problem.

I was Banned from DOAC for a simular act, the sad thing is YES the company allows to continue after one month or less in most cases. I was banned for a whole Month then I was allowed back on my original character. But I have to say this, I never used a program to cheat. But whats wrong if you exploit a glitch to gain higher XP or wealth? Would you do it, sure you would if I taught you.

wow a whole entire horde. thats not something i see everyday. its actually kinda funny. playing until you get to a hard part then you get banned.

A lot of you are stating that cheat programs are for the elite. As a veteran of MMOGs, I can tell you with strict confidence that cheat programs are for the weak. I've had them, I've used them, and I simply know better. I have used cheat programs to simply test if they work. If they do indeed work, then quite often I will stop playing the game altogether simply for the existance of such a cheat. WoW has been pretty good about catching cheaters... one of the reasons they still have me as a customer. Part of my $15/mo is to get cheaters off my server. QQ more Overrated. You accompllishments are trivial thanks to your involvement with cheating. You likely could have nevr made it as far as you did without them -- and then to say you only used it as a shortcut once you gained combat knowledge. Lies. I smile for your loss. :)

So let me get this. This guild cheated by modifying the game, got caught and banned, because a part of the game was to hard and they didnt want to play fair, and they want to get they ban somehow rescinded. OK I think this guy was the guy on south Park.

I play WOW, and I have no problems, but you were very vague in mentioning exactly what problems you be talking about. The only problem I have is that I get gold, and then I lose it all and have to grind grind grind to get it back again. Given the choice between having a life, or playing WOW, I'd pick WOW 99 percent of the time. The other 1 percent I reserve for self preservation.

All MMORPG's are time suckers, and beyond that fact, there's always some form of cheating going on, especially on some online multiplayer games, not even mentioning mmorpg's. Now for the second fact. All these people talking smack about how they cheated, and how they deserve it, should stop talking, because if YOU guys had the chance to cheat in an online game without getting caught, you'd do it at the drop of a hat! Only problem is those fools got caught.... ** There's always going to be cheaters, that's life, just don't get caught.

wow, whats the point of theese games if u have to pay for it, and yet people can still hack and mod the game ruining the gameplay u paid for. honesty, i will stick with the non paying games thats online.

You know what, while these guys deserve it, there are more important hacks out there that are allowed/ignored, especially farm bots. We've all seen farm bots who constantly farm important areas with good loot/mats for weeks non stop, you can know a bot when they follow a certain pattern. and reporting them gets you the usual reply "camping spots and farming are not illegal according to wow policy".

if anyone plays wow and happen to know overrated/bloodsworn then they know overrated had it coming, and they should have been banned long time ago. this is what happens when you think you are bigger than the game, from single handedly destroying a server and screwing anyone that plays the horde on shadow moon and now hacking on blackdragon flight, like i said if you play wow and happen to know this guild then you know they are one of the most hated and deserve whatever punishment

Nice try Overrated but did you guys are amatures in my book. I would have gotten loads of cash then sold my account for real money. now that would be nice. NOTE: I am NOT saying you should do that, it is probobly against the law. ; )

This is partly Blizzard's fault. These guys have probably burnt out on the game and just wanted to go out making news. The fact is, when Blizzard designed BWL, they said they have learned the lessons from MC regarding trash mobs. They haven't. The clear between twin emps and C'thun takes an hour. Blizzard designs entertaining boss fights but the number of trash mobs in certain places is just too much.

It's not as bad as they make it sound, I mean they could beat all the bosses they just saved time by skipping the lame ones....not that i'm condoning their actions, but at least they didn't cheat in pvp....other than the fact that they had good weapons they didn't really harm anyone.... Also you know you guys would do it too if you were smart enough to figure out how to do it....

Well in every MMO there is a stupid guild, and finally WoW got there first most stupidest guild ever. To the Overrated guild members if any of you are here. Gotta be the most stupiest of them, And I played several MMO's during the beginning of MMO's period. Happy blizzard took you out lol.

Complaining about having to clear C'thun trash, pretty funny. All of WOW is a time sink. If they are so good they should be able to fly past the early stuff and get to C'thun in a reasonable amount of time. Yeah its hard, but there are no shortcuts to getting epics and other phat lewts! Anyways, I'm glad I got out of WOW, way too much time spent on that game.

I'm glad GameSpot is reporting on things that are more on a gamer's level. Sure, industry news is great, but it's nice to see something that we as gamers may have witnessed firsthand, or things that seem more like something you'd see on the real news. And if you hack, you get the boot. Unless you're smart about it, but it really takes all the fun out of the game anyhow, so..... why even bother?

Power Rangers isn't an MMO. It's a stupid kids show, for stupid kids who don't know better. I'd be suprised if 6 million people were viewing it in this day and age anyway. Is it really still THAT popular? In anycase, they got what was coming to em.

And this is news why? MMORPGs suck big time - they're hardly a game anyway. 6 million subscribers can't be wrong? I have two words for you: Power Rangers. Nuff said.

I'm in an alli guild making our way through AQ40 and Naxx and can understand that the trash mobs are a pain but come on, how stupid do you have to be to use these haxx. I hope none of them get their accounts back. Send a message blizz. PWN'd

I just started playing WoW...after being a 8 year UO veteran. Its a great game...and keeping people from hacking and cheating is a good thing. Hate it when people get an unfair advantage.

I guess these guys are losers for cheating on WoW who cares if you cleared naxx Im sure people done it too. I also play horde and get my butt handed to me in AV but that doesen't make me want to cheat!
