Only 90% of their guild was banned, not the entire thing. And besides, they can't claim they beat Naxx if they're caught cheating. If they cheated to get to C'Thun, what else did they cheat on?

This just shows that cheating will get you into trouble. Not surprising this happened.

Why does every comment thread related to WoW have to include the very old and bored trash talk of "having a life?" Seriously, if you're still wasting time talking about that topic, more than a decade after its birth, you're a noob. Everything you can ever think of about that topic, someone else already did. :P

WoW!! This only means that World of Warcraft is really OVERRATED. Were all the members in the guild banned? If yes, that's a lot of fifteen dollars each per month less for Blizzard. Go! Go! Go! Blizzard. I mean, who cares! You guys should even get a refund. Eh?

KaranaSkye, thats not true. It's up to the programmers to prevents this sort of stuff. Where the hell is an exploit in a game where you just clear a whole wall away? That doesn't sound like an exploit though, sounds like it was put their on purpose. The easiest thing they could do is moderate, but people shouldn't be banned because programmers are imputent. - I make little programs & projects myself. I would feel retarded [yes me], if I left an exploit that allowed anyone to get access to anything that they shouldn't be. [Most of these are used for pc-to-pc communication]

A lot of people that play WOW do have lives. Not everybody who plays that type of game totally immerses their whole being into it. Yes, I play WOW. Yes, I have a 60. Yes, I take time for raids, battlegrounds, and instances. Yes, I'll chat at work with co-workers who also play. Yes, I party almost every weekend, spend half my time at my friends instead of my own place, date (though I've been taking a break since my last break-up), shop, drive around, and visit the occasional bar or club. This is news in the same way that every other article on this site is news. It's about a game, a platform, a company, or players and therefore of interest to some of the subscribers to this site. Like myself. Also, to those who say Blizzard should have built their game to prevent people hacking it, is it really all that possible to stop hacking before people try to hack? As far as I'm aware, if someone is a good enough hacker, they can hack into anything. The company can only try to catch them, keep an active lookout for hacks. Which they obviously were doing.

While I may not say that everyone who plays WoW is a loser, the phrase "I don't play WoW, I have a Life" isn't as out of context as one would think. I used to play, very glad i'm done.

Haha. I remember Pantaloons (didn't think it was the same guy at first) when he was in his 40's on Shadow Moon. I spit on him at the Arathi Highlands when I was levelling my warrior. I always figured he was a massive douchebag. What his guild did was pretty pathetic.

did they ban everyone in the guild or just the guild members using the hack? cause that would suck if someone was playing legit but just happened to be some lvl 12 newb who was invited by a friend to this guild

lol, just like in Halo 2, people cant get to the high level stuff without cheating. Either take the time to do it legit or dont do it at all.

As a WoW player I say good. They deserve it. While there are still many hacks and cheats going on in the game, some very obvious, its still good to see people being caught. As far as all you people whining about this news, it IS news. Its a happening in a game and therefor being a video game site, its news. If Mario skinned Yoshi and made himself some snazzy new boots, while you might not care, it is video game news. If you don't wanna hear about it, dont read about it.
