The third installment of the massively multiplayer online role-playing game will hit store shelves at midnight on December 7 with launches taking place around the world. In addition to the UK, France, Germany, Russia and Sweden will host midnight launches. In London, Leicester Square nightclub Sound will open its doors at 10 p.m. GMT, with a costume contest promised among other entertainment.

Blizzard will also be using the London launch to showcase official licensed merchandise, provide photo opportunities, and lay on giveaways to those who are waiting patiently in line. GameSpot UK will of course be attending the official launch, so be sure to stop by.
